Milk – s26 lactose free (before she was just using the regular s26 but she had rashes (and was colicky too)so her pedia shifted her to s26-lactose free—and so far so good no rashes—not colicky at all.
Diaper – we use EQ dry. Before we were using prokids but I find it too pricey for a diaper---we experimented on other brands and EQ was the cheapest brand that doesn’t cause diaper rash.
Crib – Bianca has a wooden crib (I got this from SM), she uses this for day time sleep and co sleeps with us at night. Sayang lang the mattress cause we didn’t use it: mainit daw sabi ni dada
Crib mobile – chicco –I love it (courtesy of tita ninang joy)! Bianca loves it—up to now she still stares at it in wonder. ---colorful kse and the shapes of the hanging toys vary.
Clothes (pambahay)– lahat courtesy of lola and titas. I don’t buy clothes kse sayang ang bilis mapag iwan e. Except the tie sides we bought some before Bianca was born pero she just used it for a month or two, we still have tie sides at home that we weren’t able to use. Napag liitan lang.sayang.sa susunod na baby na lang :)
Clothes on porma days – mostly gifts.
Shampoo/Body wash – were using cetaphil super mild, no rashes but the thing is its fragrance free, so hindi masyado mabango si baby plus it doesn’t create soap suds so you tend to use a lot. I tried Johnson and Johnson’s baby(body) wash it smells good and its cheaper compared to cetaphil but it wasn’t mild enough and Bianca had rashes on her face so we shifted back to cetaphil, then I tried Nivea, smells good and not as pricey as cetaphil and no rashes si baby so nivea na ako yipee
Nail clipper- I have a safety first nail clipper I’d say it’s good, well made and durable but I lost it. I bought sesame beginnings nail clipper, its so cheap less than 50Php but after 3 uses --- it broke. I now have safety first nail clipper with the rubber handle. Hope I don’t lose it again
Sterilizer – I use chicco electric sterilizer courtesy of the 4 four titas (Jhing, angel, joy and lissa) its nice and compact but consumes a lot of electricity (*sniff*sniff*sniff) . I also bought a big casserole so in case of power outage we can still sterilize the bottles
Nasal aspirator – we got a free aspirator upon discharge at the medical city, but I cant use it cause the tip is so long it might hurt Bianca’s nose. we bought the chicco aspirator but still cant use it, the tip looks so pointy . I saw safety firsts bulb aspirator –looks good…I intend to get one maybe next month, I just got the chicco last month and hubs will surely react if I get another one.
Thermometer – we have 2 (1.) a digital thermometer that we got from The Medical City when we were discharge and (2.) the traditional mercury filled thermometer…contemplating whether I should get an ear thermometer or not, fussy kse ang baby when they’re sick so im thinking of getting one.
Foot rattle – can’t resist buying this. So cute. If it’s hot and Bianca’s not wearing it, I hung it in her crib mobile and she amusingly stares at it. So worth the money.
Baby bag – I have 3 , 2 from enfant and 1 from kinder care—I like the enfant bag kaya lang maliit it can only hold up to a max of 6 bottles. Yung kinder care naman is big kaya lang punit agad yung likod (waste of money tsk tsk tsk)!
Blankets – I like the cotton blankets, flannel blakets kse are mainit so she doesn’t use it very often pag umuulan lang and malamig. She still has a lot of unused blankets sa bahay kse naman a friend gave me a dozen plus the ones I bought and gifts nung binyag
Shoes – enfant –courtesy of Jerry—but she hardly use them – pag punta lang naman sya pedia lumalabas e
Socks – she has plenty of socks--- more than a dozen barely used all of them.
Mittens – used for a month. I think she has a dozen or so pairs…used daily during the first month of her life but after that we kept it na.
Bottles - before Bianca was born I bought the PUR infant set from Chicco, but Bianca is colic-ky so we started buying Avent bottles even if it’s a bit pricey so far so good nabawasan talaga yung colic ni Bianca If its not for colic I would have bought ordinary bottles lang for Bianca, kse she can shift from breast to bottle without any hitch---she uses Avent-non Avent-wide neck and regular shaped bottles without any fuss. J Good thing tita lissa is already in Canada, I can just email her the list of Avent products that I like and she can buy them there its so much cheaper…
Pajamas and jogging pants – barely used these. I even bought a baby gap pajama but she just wore it once or twice then naliitan na. tsk tsk tsk.
T-shirts/long sleeves – hardly used the t-shirts, the long sleeves we just kept unused.
Bibs/washer – so useful, ill probably buy more as my baby drools a lot ---and she’s not even teething yet---she’d probably use a dozen per day as soon as she starts teething.--ahehehe
